From my comment at one of North's posts: I'd rather be alone and live in truth, than be in relationships based on lies.
Not that I prefer being alone, per se. Just that I'm willing to endure it if it means living in the truth instead of clamping my eyes shut against it.

I share your pain.
It is interesting when someone will ask me if something I've told them is the truth, and I reply "Have I EVER lied to you?" If they blow that off, then they are not a person that thinks much about truth and lies.
But when they look me in the eye, think, and then realize that I have not - a bond is made.
